Our School

 

English Language Matters is situated in the heart of Dunedin, close to The Octagon, shopping, public transport and other public facilities such as the library, gallery and information centre. Travelling around Dunedin is easy, with a great bus system, easy walking, bike paths and taxis.

Our school is well located for nature and  outdoor activities as well as extreme sports, in both Dunedin and surrounding areas including QueenstownHiking, biking, surfing, Middle Earth tours, horse riding, skiing, snowboarding and bungee jumping are just some of the activities on offer in our region. You can visit  the numerous wineries in Central Otago,  take a leisurely bushwalk, or enjoy our spectacular sights when taking a break from your  studies.

English Language Matters has a warm, comfortable family environment with five fully equipped classrooms, common rooms, study room and library, wireless Internet, computer access, kitchenette and prayer facilities. We have everything a student needs! To help you settle in, we offer you a short tour of Dunedin and assistance to help you adjust to your new environment.

SchoolHours:

English Language Matters opens for business at 8:30am and closes at 5pm on weekdays.

Morning classes:  9am to 12 noon, with a 15 minute morning-tea break at 10:30am.

Lunch is at 12 noon to 1pm.

Afternoon classes: 1pm to 3pm, with a 10 minute afternoon-tea break at 2pm.

Evening and private classes are at different times, so you should check your course timetable.
