Mike MacDermott arrived at English Language Matters Limited as a highly qualified teacher with an MA in teaching. Mike taught all on all the courses, and was extremely popular with all the students and staff.

English Language Matters is a very special school, and there are very few teachers who reach the high standards required of this school. Mike fitted in to the school perfectly, and everyone is very sorry that he is leaving to return to his native Australia.

However, we wish him all the very best, and have assured him that there will always be a special place for him here with his second family. Good luck, Mike!

English Language Matters is the best school for both students and staff that I have ever taught in. After 15 years of English Language teaching in three countries and 5 cities, there is no other school I have experienced, or indeed heard of, that meets the needs of their students like English Language Matters.

Students study in small classes with dedicated and talented teachers. The progress is often amazing. The IELTS results are a great reflection of this.

Students' wellbeing is also actively promoted. I've never been in a school where so much attention is focused on keeping students happy after school. So, many students have such positive experiences here.

Finally, staff are supported and appreciated beyond anything I have experienced. Working here is 'part of our lives', not work'.

When some schools cram students with different levels together to meet their 'quotas' and promise an experience that they know will not happen, English Language Matters provides the experience that all language learners should have.
